While there are a few programs that allow you to remove people that are not following you on Twitter, sometimes you want a little more specific control.   Twitter itself has an easy way for you to unfollow those you wish to unfollow. 

The problem arises when you want to keep some twitter accounts that are not following you even though they are not following you.  Many celebrities and gurus in different fields like internet marketing, web design and graphics only follow a handful of people.  You probably want to still follow them.  Of course if you are not following ashlandweb you should add us at once!

Go to http://twitter.com/following or simply click on "Following" and then "View all". There you'll see all of the people you are following.  Here is an example of a person you are following but is not following you.

To remove the Twitter account from following you click on "Unfollow".

 Here is an example of someone that you are following and who you want to keep.  You can easily cotact them with a direct message or a mention using the @ symbol.

It's really quite easy to unfollow someone in Twitter.
